Officially.. Lampard is a temporary coach for Chelsea until the end of the season
Chelsea have officially announced the appointment of former star Frank Lampard as Blues coach until the end of the current season.
Chelsea team issued a statement on its official website, announcing that Lampard will temporarily assume the technical leadership of the Blues until the end of the season, to succeed Graham Potter, who was dismissed the past two days due to poor results.
And several reports had confirmed that Frank Lampard would return to coach Chelsea in the second term as a temporary coach, and then announced that Luis Enrique would take over as coach of the London club, starting next season.
It is worth noting that the Chelsea team bid farewell to the English Professional League Cup and the FA Cup, and also lost the opportunity to officially compete for the English Premier League title.
Chelsea dropped to 11th place in the English Premier League table this season, with 39 points.
